  • Ahold USA appoints new CFO

    Dan Sullivan was elevated to the role of CFO at Ahold USA following the departure of Paula Price.

    Price spent nearly five years there, but decided to take her career in a new direction, according to a statement by the supermarket operator, subsidiary of Netherlands-based Royal Ahold and owner of the Stop & Shop and Giant Food Stores chains. Price will lecture at a leading university on leadership and technical topics related to her unique business journey in addition to complementing her existing corporate and non-profit board positions, according to the company.

    Kimberly-Clark Professional has named Tim Feeheley as VP of Kimberly-Clark Professional North America. Feeheley succeeds Richard Thorne, who recently was chosen to lead Kimberly-Clark Professional's Asia-Pacific Region.

  • AAFES gets new chairman

    The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) announced that Lt. Gen. Samuel D. Cox will serve as chairman of the exchange’s board of directors effective immediately.

    Cox was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services on Nov. 5, and will replace Lt. Gen. Darrell Jones, who served as chairman of the Exchange board of directors since April 2013 and retired from the Air Force on Nov. 21.

    Boston – College students are planning to buy holiday gifts that offer experiential value or economic flexibility and will frequent discount stores, according to a new survey of roughly 1,000 college students from consumer marketing firm Fluent.

  • European Wax Center inks Tribeca lease

    New York — European Wax Center has signed a lease for 1,650 sq. ft. of ground floor retail space at 95 Chambers Street/75 Reade Street between Broadway and Church in Tribeca, according to Winick Realty Group, the broker representing both the retailer and the landlord, Ascend Group, in the transaction.  

    Winick also represented Reade Street Prep in a lease transaction for a 3,600-sq.-ft. expansion space on the 75 Reade Street side of the building.

    LLamasoft, a leading global supply chain design software provider, has added Jeff Metersky to the company’s leadership team as VP of solutions strategy.

    Metersky will have global responsibility for designing comprehensive supply chain design solutions made up of technology, services, support, education and training for future and existing LLamasoft customers. He will also help shape and guide LLamasoft product strategy.
