Mango has no plans of slowing down its expansion in the United States.

Mango has reached a new milestone in its U.S. expansion.

The Barcelona-based global fashion retailer has opened its 50th U.S. location with its new store in Portland, Ore., in the city's Washington Square shopping center. The new location offers the Mango’s Woman line exclusively, and is the brand’s second store in the city after opening in Pioneer Place earlier this year.

The store features Mango’s Mediterranean-inspired "New Med" retail concept, which combines sustainability with architectural integration with warm tones, neutral colors, and natural, handcrafted materials.

“Reaching this milestone is an important achievement for the entire Mango team and reaffirms our deep commitment to our U.S. clients,” said Daniel López, Mango’s chief expansion & franchise officer. “Opening our 50th company-owned store in the U.S. is a testament to the warm reception of our unique value proposition and to Mango’s ambition in the U.S.”

The Washington Square store is the eighth U.S. location Mango has opened so far this 2025, following store arrivals in Nevada, New Mexico, Washington and Oregon. Specifically, the company launched at Fashion Show Las Vegas, the largest shopping, dining and entertainment destination on the Las Vegas Strip; Albuquerque’s Coronado Center mall; and Pioneer Place in the heart of Portland’s business district.

In the upcoming months, Mango will open its first store in Illinois with a location in North Michigan Avenue, Chicago’s main commercial street. The brand will also increase its presence in California with a store in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza.

These store openings are part of Mango’s ambitious U.S. expansion plan, which began in 2022 with the opening of its flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. In 2025, Mango plans to open 20 new stores and double its workforce to more than 1,200 employees across the country by the end of the year.

Founded in 1984, Mango operates more than 2,840 stores worldwide, with the vast majority of them concentrated in Europe.
