"M-All Hands on Deck" fundraising campaigns will take place at PCRP properties nationwide.

Nearly every retail real estate developer these days declares that their centers are created to cater to the needs of the individual communities in which they are based.

Pacific Retail Capital Partners (PRCP) is taking that promise to new level.

The Los Angeles-based mall developer and renovator has this week launched what it calls its “M-All Hands on Deck” alliance with several widely respected humanitarian non-profits involved in disaster relief efforts. Its first effort — providing critical assistance to North Carolina residents affected by Hurricane Helene — will be spearheaded by its Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh.

And plans are already in the making to aid communities in the in the path of Hurricane Milton in Florida.

“As a community-centric organization, it is ingrained in our DNA to do all we can for those we serve, and when catastrophic events like Hurricanes Helene and Milton come along and alter life as we know it, our hearts truly ache,” said Najla Kayyem, executive VP of marketing for PRCP.

PRCP's commitment to raise funds and awareness for Hurricanes Helene and Milton will continue throughout the 2024 holiday season. Crabtree Valley Mall, located within a few hours' drive of several of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Helene, has designed a tailored schedule of events and activities that are intended to generate proceeds and increase visibility for the relief efforts being undertaken by these humanitarian aid organizations.

Crabtree will host a concert and silent auction, a portion of whose proceeds will be directed to Hurricane Helene relief.

Also planned:

  • An M-All Hands art walk fundraiser, in which local artists come together to paint artwork that is auctioned off;
  • An M-All Hands giving wall that provides information about ways to get involved; meet-and-greets and special guest appearances that are donation-based;
  • Contributing a portion of proceeds from holiday photos with Santa to relief efforts; and
  • Posting signage and messaging throughout the property to generate widespread awareness and support.

PCRP will help fund M-All Hands with campaigns at each of its properties that will let shoppers learn how to get involved and where to contribute. It will also make a corporate-level donation to augment the proceeds realized from its nationwide events.

“Especially in challenging periods like this, where devastation, loss of life, and destruction are insurmountable, we have an obligation to help our communities rebuild and return to a sense of normalcy as quickly as possible,” Kayyem said.
