Lululemon will open its second-biggest location at the nation’s largest mall.
The apparel retailer will open a one-level, 19,700-sq.-ft. store on Nov. 20 at Mall of America, Bloomington, Minn. The format is modeled on Lululemon’s largest and most experiential store to date, a 20,000-plus-sq.-ft. site which opened in July, in Chicago.
The new store is designed to offer shoppers an elevated retail experience, enhanced by studio services. In addition to a broad assortment of men’s and women’s product, it features an eatery serving a variety of mostly-healthy beverages, food and snacks, including grab-and-go items.
The location has separate entrances, with one for mall access and the other for studio services. The studio spaces are equipped to offer yoga and other activities and also to host large events. Showers and other amenities are available in the men’s and women’s locker rooms.
In addition to a weekly “sweat” schedule, the store will host various events on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Each quarter will have a theme, ranging from a movie series to a concert series with local artists to a display of rotating art work.
