Lovesac is upgrading its POS.

A modular furniture retailer is enhancing its omnichannel shopping environment with a new POS platform.

The Lovesac Company is deploying the PredictSpring POS system. Designed specifically for the home furnishings industry, the new POS solution will enable Lovesac to offer both fixed POS terminals with a cash drawer and mobile POS devices running on iPhones or iPads in its stores.

The retailer will be able to offer multiple payment options using QR codes to transact via digital wallets, third-party payment platforms such as WeChat Pay and Alipay, and buy now, pay later options such as Klarna and Affirm.

Lovesac will also leverage its new POS system to offer support for omnichannel commerce activities, such as endless aisle, buy online return in-store (BORIS), buy online pickup in-store (BOPIS), and buy online fulfill in-store (BOFIS).

In addition, the retailer will obtain support for real-time inventory visibility across all channels, inventory receiving, cycle counting, RFID, store transfers, and inventory adjustments.

Other capabilities Lovesac is gaining by implementing PredictSpring POS technology include clienteling services such as loyalty integration, curated product collections, and one-to-one customer communication; extended financing plans with credit checks and payment authorization; access to all available serial numbers so inventory can more easily be selected and reserved; and the seamless creation of special orders and new SKUs entry.

“Lovesac is a customer centric technology driven company in the home furnishings category. Our vision of customer centricity includes a seamless omni-channel experience across all channels,” said Chad Best, senior VP customer experience operations, The Lovesac Company. “When strategizing how to evolve our showroom POS experience for accelerated growth, PredictSpring’s POS was the obvious choice. We are excited to integrate their solutions into our brand as we embark on our next stage of growth.”

“The home furnishings shopping journey is unique in that customers appreciate the tactile experience of shopping in-store,” said Nitin Mangtani, founder and CEO of PredictSpring. “We’re thrilled to be working with The Lovesac Company to provide a branded Modern POS experience that powers omnichannel shopping experience for both the customers and store associates.”

Lovesac scales to $1 billion with optimized core business processes

In addition to pursuing omnichannel transformation at the POS, Lovesac has scaled its operations to become a billion-dollar company while running on the Oracle NetSuite ERP solution. Deploying NetSuite, Lovesac has been able to deploy an integrated business platform at every stage of its growth to support new product lines, meet changing customer expectations, adapt its business and sales models, and transition to becoming a publicly traded company.

Most recently, Lovesac helped support the debut of Mobile Concierge, a fully-equipped mobile showroom, with NetSuite functionality. Mobile Concierge provides customers a live demonstration on how its modular sofas work, and also enables consumers to check out features and design their own product setup.

Customers can then make their purchase with the Lovesac associate for products to be delivered to their home in as little as one to two weeks. Mobile Concierge follows other customer engagement features Lovesac has offered in the past year, including showroom and virtual appointments, as well as interactive Facebook Live demos.
