Live-action gaming experience coming to American Dream

Just when you thought Triple Five’s American Dream had all the action-packed family attractions one mall could fit, a new innovative concept comes along.

Activate Games, an indoor gaming experience that merges the best of gaming technology with competitive, real-life activity, is set to open a 5,000-sq.-ft. East Coast flagship location at American Dream, the massive, three million sq.-ft.-plus entertainment and retail center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Combining technology and full body activity to create live-action gaming experiences, Activate Games is designed to physically and mentally challenge teams (made up of two to five players), who choose from over 500 different games and difficulty levels. The options range from basketball games that mixes team trivia with Pop-A-Shot to action-movie inspired laser games. Each Activate Games location offers a variety of unique gaming rooms.

An RFID wristband tracks participants’ scores and progress throughout the experience.
