LA Fitness’s chief of real estate Bill Horner notes that convenient access to large, active populations is the key to the chain’s location strategy, and that’s certainly the case with its newly announced location at Marina Pacifica Shopping center on the Pacific Coast Highway overlooking Alamitos Bay.

“Due to the geography and waterways moving through and between the great coastal communities of the area, Marina Pacifica is ideally located to meet that all important convenience factor.”  Horner said.

LA Fitness will be occupying 33,987-sq.-ft. of space formerly occupied by Best Buy at the NewMark Merrill-owned center, where it will serve as a co-anchor alongside AMC Theatres, Ralphs, and Nordstrom Rack.

“As we all continue to live with the lingering effects of the pandemic, NewMark Merrill continues to prioritize the communities we serve, providing positive environments where diverse groups of people can come together,” said the company’s president and CEO Sandy Sigal.
