The chief technology and supply chain officer of Kohl’s will depart on Aug.1
Kohl’s Corp. has appointed a new chief technology officer.
The department store retailer said in a securities filing that its chief technology and supply chain officer, Paul Gaffney, will leave the company on Aug.1. No reason was given for his departure.
Gaffney joined Kohl’s in 2019, as chief technology officer. He has served in his current role since April 2021.
Kohl’s said that Siobhan McFeeney has been promoted to chief technology officer, effective immediately. She has been with Kohl’s since January 2020, serving as executive VP, technology and supply chain. Prior to Kohl’s, she served as VP, innovation and strategy, at Pivotal Software, from 2014 to January 2020
The news of Gaffney’s departure comes about two weeks after Kohl’s took down the “for sale” sign, citing “environment and market volatility.” At the time, the retailer was in discussion to sell itself to Franchise Group, whose holdings include The Vitamin Shoppe and Pet Supplies Plus.
Kohl’s in late June cut its outlook for the fiscal second quarter, citing softer consumer spending amid record high inflation. It now forecasts sales will be down high single digits, compared with a prior forecast of a low single-digits decline.
