J.Hilburn files for bankruptcy

Dallas-based J.Hilburn has filed for bankruptcy protection.

Founded online in 2007, the digitally native company was known for its custom-made tailored menswear. But in recent years it has added more casual clothing to the mix. J.Hilburn said it anticipates to maintain business operations as usual throughout the bankruptcy proceedings, and will fill all current and future orders.

J.Hilburn includes a network of nearly 2,000 personal stylists across all 50 states. In addition to its e-commerce site, the company operates four physical locations.

“J.Hilburn has a loyal client base, David DeFeo, who was named CEO https://chainstoreage.com/c-suite-1/custom-made-menswear-brand-names-ceo in July, said in a statement. “We believe in our stylists, in the growth potential of the men’s custom market, and in the ability of our management team to lead the company to future success. “Together, the company and our stylists community, along with our loyal clients, will weather this economic turmoil and come out on the other side as a stronger and more successful business.”
