It’s beginning to look a lot like advanced EDI at Mr. Christmas

A direct-to-consumer holiday retailer is modernizing its electronic data interchange (EDI) operations.

Mr. Christmas, a designer of holiday decorations which sells merchandise via an e-commerce site as well as through third-party retail partners, is adopting the TrueCommerce EDI integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The company is utilizing the solution, part of the True Commerce Foundry unified commerce platform, to streamline its supply chain through sales channels integration, as well as compliance and fulfillment processes automation.

The solution leverages TrueCommerce’s Global Commerce Network that includes over 120,000 pre-connected retailers, distributors, and logistics service providers. TrueCommerce manages the onboarding process for new Mr. Christmas trading partners, as well as the ongoing management of trading partner-specific mapping and labeling changes.

By integrating sales, purchasing, inventory, and fulfillment interactions with supply chain participants connected through the TrueCommerce Commerce Network, Mr. Christmas intends to gain real-time supply chain visibility for improved efficiency, resilience, and customer service.

Regional home furnishings retailer RC Willey also recently upgraded its EDI processes with TrueCommerce technology, rolling out the TrueCommerce-ecUtopia EDI solution to automatically exchange EDI 850 purchase orders (POs) and EDI 855 PO acknowledgments with vendors.

“Mr. Christmas sees digital transformation as the key to better serve our customers and make our operations more effective,” said Gary Ragusa, CFO/COO, Mr. Christmas. “Therefore, we went through a rigorous selection process to find the EDI partner who would be able to best serve our unique needs. We looked at many solutions and TrueCommerce Foundry turned out to be the best match. We are confident that the deployment will help us get the most of our Microsoft Business Central investments.”

Founded in 1933, Mr. Christmas is based in Memphis, Tenn.
