The largest real estate show in the United States has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The International Council of Shopping Centers on Friday announced the postponement of its annual REcon event in Las Vegas. The convention, which was scheduled to take place this year from May 17 to May 19, typically draws nearly 40,000 attendees and some 1,000 exhibitors.
“The health and safety of our event attendees is ICSC's top priority,” the association stated. “As you have seen in the news, the impact of the COVID-19 situation has rapidly escalated. In consideration of these developments and the fluidity of the situation, we have decided to suspend RECon. The event will not take place in May, and we are currently evaluating potential new dates and alternatives for later in the year.
