At Home celebrates multiple store openings

At Home Group is having a busy February.

The value home décor retailer is opening six new stores this month, bringing its total store count to 241 (see locations at end of article). The retailer, which plans to open 25 or more locations this year,  believes it has the long-term potential of operating 600-plus stores.

At Home stores average just over 100,000 sq. ft. and feature up to 50,000 home décor items. The selection ranges from furniture, rugs, wall art and housewares to tabletop, patio and holiday décor.

At Home was acquired last summer by private-equity firm Hellman & Friedman in an all-cash transaction valued at $2.8 billion. The retailer had revenues of $1.7 billion in 2020, with net income of $77 million.
