Google has 100 reasons for consumers to shop this holiday season

Google continues to position itself as an e-commerce marketplace, adding a new list of trending holiday products.

Known as Google Shopping 100, the list showcases products that have shown the most sustained increase in U.S. searches during the holiday season. Spanning ages and interests, Google Shopping 100 has highlighted items in eight holiday gift categories: tech, kitchen gear, toys, accessories & apparel, gaming, sports & fitness, home goods, and personal care.

According to Google, current search data still ranks the classic board game “Monopoly” as a popular present in toys, along with warm, furry boots in apparel and accessories and high tech vacuums in home goods.
 
Google can also provide visitors to Google Shopping 100 with a comparison of prices and places to buy listed products. Customers can search thousands of online stores and compare prices, as well as find out if a desired item is available in nearby stores by searching on Google and clicking on the Shopping tab to check if the item is in stock at a local store.
