A new grocery concept – with a golf-inspired twist – has arrived in Augusta, Ga.
FreshTake Grocery has opened its first flagship store in a former Whole Foods Market space at 2907 Washington Road. The 42,000-sq.-ft. store is the vision of Jackson Mitchell, a fourth-generation grocer and award-winning entrepreneur, whose family operates the Albertville, Ala.-based Mitchell Grocery Corp. and runs five Little Giant Farmers Market stores in the Atlanta area.
Located in the city that hosts the annual Master’s Tournament, FreshTake’s first store is complete with an onsite putting green for guests to enjoy. Other features include a sushi bar, pizza and pasta counter, BBQ smokehouse, hot food stations, and a full-service Starbucks. Guests can relax at Jackson's Beer and Wine Bar, which features 13 large TVs and a curated selection of beverages, or stop by the Ice Box beer cave for a wide variety of cold drinks.
