Former Petco veteran joins Leslie's C-suite
Leslie’s Inc. has added a seasoned retail veteran to its C-suite.
The pool and spa supplies retailer has tapped Amy College as its new chief merchandising and supply chain officer, effective July 20. In addition to merchandising, inventory, supply chain, logistics and manufacturing, she will be responsible for the company’s digital marketplace business.
College has more than 25 years of retailer operations leadership, including merchandising, supply chain and store operations. Most recently, she spent nearly five years at Petco and served as chief merchandising officer and supply chain officer for the final 11 months of her tenure after being promoted from chief merchandising officer.
College joined Petco in 2019 after spending 22 years at Best Buy in multiple roles, including chief category officer for home theatre, digital imaging, smart home and appliances.
In conjunction with the announcement, Moyo LaBode, the company’s outgoing chief merchandising and supply chain officer, has left Leslie’s, effective July 15.
“We are thrilled to welcome Amy to our leadership team at this pivotal time in Leslie’s transformation,” said Jason McDonell, CEO of Leslie’s, who took the reins of the company last fall. “With significant retail, merchandising and general management experience, she brings a unique blend of strategic vision and operational expertise that I am confident will help guide us through this next chapter and deliver against our transformation initiatives. I am confident her values-driven leadership style and deep commitment to customer experience will be instrumental in accelerating our progress, strengthening cross-functional collaboration and delivering results that position us for long-term success.”
