Floor & Decor is kicking off “PRO Appreciation Month” chainwide.

Floor & Decor is shining a spotlight on its professional customers in September.

The specialty hard-surface flooring retailer will kick off a month-long campaign that celebrates trade professionals, including builders, contractors, architects, designers, remodelers and flooring installers. Called “PRO Appreciation Month,” the chainwide event will offer free virtual education classes designed to cultivate skillsets and drive professional development for professionals in the construction, renovation and flooring industries. Topics will focus on shower systems, handling porcelain slabs, wood flooring, and installing shower accessories.

Select Floor & Decor locations will also offer live education events. This the fifth year that Floor & Decor is hosting the program.

Were proud to once again dedicate the month of September to all the hardworking pros across the U.S.,” said Trevor Lang, president of Floor & Decor. Creating and celebrating PRO Appreciation Month is just one more way that we recognize the professionals who make spaces and lives better.”

The company will also offer merchandise giveaways and sweepstakes across all stores — including it’s newest in Ohio, which opened on August 29. The new warehouse-style store, located in Cleveland’s Cuyahoga Falls region, will feature Floor & Decor’s broad in-stock selection of tile, natural wood and natural stone. The store assortment is specific to the neighborhoods trends and culture.

This is the company’s second store in Cleveland.

For more than two decades, Floor & Decor has had the opportunity to serve professionals and homeowners throughout the nation, and we are excited to expand our footprint in the Cleveland market with this new location in Cuyahoga Falls,” said Shaun Huffman, the store’s chief executive merchant.

Floor & Decor’s second Cleveland store comes just one week after debuting it’s first store in Rhode Island. Located in the Cowesett Corners Shopping Center in Warwick, the store features 1 million sq. ft. of in-stock flooring materials, and offers free design services with the help of a dedicated team of 50 full- and part-time associates.

The retailer is also planning to enter a new geography in September, according to a company source.

The company currently has more than 230 warehouse-format stores and five design centers across 36 states — surpassing its goal of operating 230 stores by the end of the year. The company’s next milestone is to expand to 500 locations by 2030.
