Five Below names CFO

Five Below has found its new finance head.

The extreme-value brand for tweens and teens said  that Kristy Chipman will join the company as CFO and treasurer on July 17, 2023. She succeeds Ken Bull, who, as previously reported, has assumed the new role of COO of Five Below.

Chipman most recently served executive VP, CFO and COO at Ruth's Chris Hospitality Group. Prior to Ruth's Chris, she served in a variety of financial leadership roles with Orangetheory Fitness, Domino's Pizza and McDonald's Corporation.

Five Below continues to have one of the most aggressive expansion programs in specialty retail. In June, it reported a record 200-plus stores in its current fiscal year. The company’s long-term , announced in 2022,  includes the opening of

Chipman will lead Five Below’s finance and accounting organization, overseeing SEC reporting and financial operations, financial planning & analysis, investor relations, internal audit, enterprise risk management, tax and treasury, and serve as the company's principal financial officer and principal accounting officer.
