First Look: Viberg opens debut retail store
A high-end Canadian footwear brand has chosen the Big Apple for its brick-and-mortar store debut.
Viberg has opened the doors to its first-ever retail store in New York City. Located in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood, the new space offers the full spectrum of Viberg’s footwear collection – each of which is handcrafted in the brand’s Victoria, British Columbia workshop.
Alongside core silhouettes, the store’s collection features newer items including pared-back sneakers, seasonal loafers, and other contemporary forms.
Designed by Paris-based CIGÜE, the debut Viberg store combines a quiet material palette, custom furnishings, and subtle nods to the brand’s Pacific Northwest origins. The store will offer one-on-one fittings, exclusive releases, and a rotating edit of Viberg’s most sought-after pieces.

“This store represents a new chapter,” said Brett Viberg, third-generation owner and designer. “New York has always felt like a natural home for the brand. It’s a place where people understand nuance and value things made with care. Our goal was to create a space where people could not just see the product – but feel the thinking behind it.”
