First Look: 'Snowport' returns to Boston waterfront
Just in time for the holiday season, the Boston Seaport neighborhood’s annual Snowport transformation is set to be unveiled.
Opening on Nov. 10, the 33-acre waterfront area is back for its fifth year of winer festivities. Snowport will once again feature The Holiday Market at Snowport, in partnership with Constant Contact, and created with The Makers Show. The open-air market will showcase over 120 businesses, as well as a dining area with 17 food and beverage concepts.
Of the 120-plus vendors, 30% are new to the market, 60% are local to Boston and the New England area, and 71% are minority and/or female owned.
Other Snowport activities include outdoor Iceless Curling, evergreen trimmings and trees at The Tree Market, an annual holiday tree lighting, Light Up Seaport (Dec. 1), the annual Menorah Lighting (Dec. 10), and Betty the Yeti sightings throughout the season.
At 1 p.m. on Nov. 10, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to celebrate the opening of the winter space.
The Holiday Market is open seven days a week, Nov. 10 – Dec. 31, 2023. Hours are: 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday.
During the peak holiday season between Dec. 11 - 31, the Holiday Market will extend its hours: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Holiday Market will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Dec. 26.
