First Look: Raley’s opens new store under Bel Air banner
Raley’s keeps expanding its California footprint.
The supermarket operator opened a 35,000-sq.-ft. store in Rancho Murieta, Calif., which is located in Sacramento County. It’s the second location Raley’s has opened since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, following a flagship that opened in April in Sacramento’s Land Park neighborhood.
Along with fresh grocery items, grab-and-go prepared foods, a full-service deli and bakery departments, the Rancho Murieta store includes a beer and wine bar and a café with indoor and outdoor seating. It also features a room dedicated to meetings, family gatherings and more. With seating for 22 people and audio visual capabilities, the room can be reserved at no cost by Raley’s loyalty club members. (The community room and cafe are currently closed due to COVID-19.)
Built in partnership with Murieta Marketplace Associates, the store features energy-efficient LED lighting throughout. Solar panels encompass the entire roof of the building. It also boasts some unique features reflective of the local community, including 13 golf cart parking spaces and four one-of-a-kind agriculture and golf-themed art pieces by local artist Jeff Meyers.
Raley’s operates 126 stores under five banners: Raley’s, Bel Air Markets, Nob Hill Foods, Food Source, and Market 5-ONE-5.
