First Look: Radio Flyer opens its first-ever store
The 106-year-old maker of the the iconic Original Little Red Wagon has unveiled its first-ever brick-and-mortar location.
Radio Flyer has opened a 15,000-sq.-ft. store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Ill. As the company's first physical store, it houses the brand’s complete lineup of products including stroller wagons, tricycles, scooters and go-karts along with bikes for the whole family. Shoppers will be able to customize wagons and other items.
"Our hope is that this will be the first of many store locations for Radio Flyer," said CEO Robert Pasin.
Radio Flyer offers plenty of opportunities for customers to interact with the product and the brand, including a “one-of-a-kind” kids’ race track for rides and a hands-on experience in Radio Flyer go-karts, scooters and more.
In addition, the store features an in-store bike shop that offers free free test rides for kids' bikes and adult electric bikes, professional assembly, custom bike and accessory fittings and other services.
"We are overjoyed that the official store opening is finally here and cannot wait to open our doors and show guests all the hard work that has gone into creating the ultimate Radio Flyer experience," said Pasin. "From a Race Track where kids can get in the driver's seat of popular products like go-karts, scooters and more – to a Flyer Bike Shop, Test Rides and Service Center where new or existing customers have a one-stop shop for their electric bikes – this first brick-and-mortar location is a space for families to experience the joy of Radio Flyer."
Based in Chicago, family-owned Radio Flyer is the world's leading producer of ride-ons including wagons, tricycles, scooters, go-karts, Tesla children’s vehicles, and more. The company was founded in 1917.
“When my grandpa built the first Radio Flyer wagon 106 years ago in his Chicago garage, he always dreamed of creating a space for families to experience the joy of the Radio Flyer brand,” Pasin stated in a company release in August.
