A New York City-based womenswear brand is expanding into brick-and-mortar with its first location.

Guizio, a fashion brand founded by designer Danielle Guizio in 2014, opened its first-ever flagship in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood on Sept. 10. Designed in collaboration with interior designer Brandi Howe, the space features travertine walls, marble floors, and custom furniture. It aims to give visitors a “luxurious shopping experience that immerses customers into the distinctive world” of the brand.

In a statement, the founder said the the store's design is inspired by different aspects of her life.

"It has been a lifelong dream of mine to open a store in New York City, and I feel so grateful to have this opportunity,” she said. "I have pulled inspiration from my childhood bedroom to create a sense of nostalgia. Embedded within the store are also signature Guizio colors that have been long lasting throughout our many collections. I wanted to bring the clothes to life, and this store is the epitome of the Guizio brand.”

The flagship store on Greene Street carries an extensive inventory of womenswear items along with a new sneaker style from the designer's collaboration with Puma which will be sold exclusively at the new store. The womenswear brand says that highlights of its collections are “woven knits, structured suiting, and signature corsets emboldened with asymmetrical details, purposeful cut-outs, ruching and custom hardware.”
