First Look: Adidas opens personalization-focused store at Mall of America
Adidas has opened up shop at North America’s largest retail and entertainment complex.
The footwear and apparel giant debuted its immersive "brand concept" store format at Mall of America on Oct. 1. The approximately 9,161-sq.-ft. Adidas store brings the brand’s latest global retail concept to Minnesota, which it says blends “performance, sports culture and personalization in an elevated shopping environment.”
The new location features a curated mix of Adidas Originals and Badge of Sport collections, along with localized products tailored to the Minnesota community. The store is highlighted by four immersive retail zones, including a customization area ("Made For You") that provides consumers with opportunities to personalize and customize their products through both service and product-based offerings.
Other immersive zones include one dedicated to footwear, "City Shop," and a storefront with integrated digital touchpoints.
Adidas says a key highlight of the Mall of America store is an elevated Anthony Edwards shop, celebrating the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar guard and reinforcing the brand’s connection to the local basketball culture and community.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Adidas to Mall of America, marking another first-to-market brand for our guests,” said Carrie Charleston, VP and head of leasing at Mall of America, at the time the new store was announced. “This best-in-class retail experience will offer our guests an innovative way to engage with the brand through product, customization, and immersive storytelling, creating a shopping experience that reflects the future of retail.”
