The jokes are almost too easy – leading online wedding retailers The Knot and WeddingWire are officially joining together as The Knot Worldwide.
Following the December 2018 merger of The Knot parent company XO Group Inc. and WeddingWire Inc., the new company is now operating as The Knot Worldwide. The new company will also include U.K.-based women’s intimate apparel retailer Bodas, as well as online brands The Bump for pregnancy and parenting, GigMasters for connecting consumers with entertainment vendors, Lasting for building healthy and happy marriages, and How They Asked for proposal inspiration and stories.
Led by CEO Tim Chi, former CEO and co-founder of WeddingWire, The Knot Worldwide will deliver wedding marketplaces, wedding websites, planning tools, registry services and more to what the retailer says are over 20 million monthly unique visitors in 15 countries across the globe.
"Today marks an exciting day in history for our company and the global wedding industry," said Tim Chi, CEO, The Knot Worldwide.
