Einstein Bros. Bagels is continuing its expansion in America’s fifth-largest metropolitan area.

The bagel chain has signed five new leases for stores in the Houston area, brokered by real estate services firm Baker Katz (see locations later in article). Averaging approximately 2,000 square feet per store, the five leases add 9,548 square feet to Einstein’s Houston-area footprint.

The new stores bring the firm’s total to 13 locations secured on behalf of Einstein across the Houston market.

“Houston continues to be a strong market for Einstein Bros. Bagels, and we’re pleased to support the brand’s continued presence across the region,” said Lunden McGill, principal at Baker Katz. “Our team focused on identifying accessible, well-positioned sites that align with the brand’s real estate strategy and long-term needs.”

Earlier this year, the chain said it planned to open more than 300 new locations across the United States by 2030. The expansion is being driven by Einstein’s “Elevate the Morning” refreshed store design, which prioritizes freshness, speed and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

"We've spent years perfecting a highly scalable store model that delivers fresh, high-quality breakfast with the convenience today's guests expect, and now we're accelerating that model across the country," said CEO Jessica DePetro at the time of the announcement. "We are at an inflection point for both our brand and the broader bagel category.”

Einstein’s upcoming Houston stores include the following:

  • Garden Oaks/Oak Forest (Ella Oaks Shopping Center) (now open)
  • Tomball (FM 2920 and Gosling Road)
  • Spring (Rayford Oaks Plaza)
  • Baytown (San Jacinto Marketplace)
  • Manvel (Manvel Town Center)
