Report: Online giant launches $10 and under section—with a twist

Amazon’s launched a new low-cost merchandise category aimed at budget-conscious shoppers.

The online giant quietly launched a “$10 and under” section on its site. All merchandise qualifies for free shipping — regardless of whether the customer has a Prime membership, according to TechCrunch.

The section can be found on Amazon’s website, as well as and under the “All Programs” area in Amazon’s iOS and Android apps. Merchandise spans T-shirts, earrings, hats, socks, phone cases, among other items. Product searches can also be filtered by category, including men’s and women’s clothing, electronics, home decor, gifts, and more.

The section is a direct swipe at discount shopping apps, such as Wish and others, the report added.
