Dressbarn, Pier 1 owner buys U.K. luxury brand

Retail Ecommerce Ventures is adding another brand to its growing portfolio.

The company made the winning bid to acquire the business and assets of Ralph & Russo Limited, a U.K.-based brand specializing in couture, ready-to-wear and luxury goods. The brand is in the British version of bankruptcy. 

Founded in 2019, REV is focused on acquiring distressed brick-and-mortar retailers, turning them into pure online players. Its recent acquisitions have included the Pier 1, Radio Shack, Dressbarn and Stein Mart brands. 

“Ralph & Russo is a globally celebrated brand with a unique position in the luxury sector and significant brand affinity,” said REV co-founder and executive chairman Tai Lopez. “With REV’s investment, there is massive potential for the Ralph & Russo brand to retain and grow its market leading position at the forefront of luxury design.”
