As April 29, Nordstrom had a total of 347 stores.
Nordstrom named Lisa Price as chief human resources officer.

It’s a homecoming for the incoming head of human resources at Nordstrom.

The department store retailer announced the appointment of Lisa Price as chief human resources officer, effective November 6. Price joins Nordstrom from Domino's Pizza, where she served as executive VP and chief human resources officer since August 2019. Prior to that, she spent nearly four years at Nordstrom, most recently as senior VP, chief human resources officer.

During her tenure with Nordstrom, Price supported human resources teams for key corporate functions including technology, finance, credit, strategy, legal, supply chain and store operations.

Previously, Price spent more than 20 years at Starbucks supporting the company's rapid growth and global expansion in a variety of human resources roles, last serving there as VP of partner resources.

"With nearly three decades of experience driving and creating culture for large global organizations and previous experience working at Nordstrom, Lisa understands that the success of our business starts with our people," said Erik Nordstrom, CEO, Nordstrom.  "Great customer service begins with a great employee experience, and I'm confident that Lisa's expertise will be an asset to our team. We look forward to welcoming her back to Nordstrom."

In her new role at Nordstrom, Price will support all aspects of human resources, including: recruitment and succession planning; learning and development; recognition and retention; diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; and total rewards.

"I am thrilled to be rejoining the talented team at Nordstrom," said Price. "Nordstrom has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating an innovative and inclusive workforce and culture, and I look forward to building on that critical work."

Price holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minor in mathematics from Occidental College, and a Master of Science in organization development from American University.

In September, Nordstrom made several executive leadership appointments in its merchandising and store organizations, all of which involved company veterans.

Nordstrom operates  350 Nordstrom, Nordstrom Local and Nordstrom Rack locations.
