Dollar General names five new VPs across supply chain, merchandising, finance
On the heels of naming a new CEO, Dollar General is making more leadership changes.
The discount giant has appointed five new leaders across its supply chain, merchandising, real estate and finance departments. The move comes less than two weeks after naming Ahold Delhaize CEO Jerry W. “JJ” Fleeman Jr. as the company’s next chief executive, effective Jan. 1, 2027. Fleeman will succeed Todd Vasos, who led Dollar General for more than 10 years across two stints, from 2015 to 2022, and 2023 to today. Vasos will remain as CEO until next January.
Kyle Gorman was promoted to VP of distribution, and will lead operations at five supply chain facilities in Florida, Alabama and Texas. Gorman has been with the company since 2016, when he joined as a supervisor at Dollar General’s Marion, Ind., distribution center. He has since served in increasing distribution leadership roles at the company’s facilities in Wisconsin, Indiana and Pennsylvania. Gorman most recently served as senior director of continuous improvement.
Heather Land was promoted to VP, division merchandise manager of Dollar General’s Popshelf format, and will lead the merchandising strategy for its product assortment of home and seasonal décor, beauty essentials, and everyday value items. Land joined Dollar General in 2017 as a buyer in the retailer’s seasonal candy and salty snacks categories, and has since held various roles of increasing responsibility within merchandising. Land most recently served as senior director of merchandising in Dollar General’s food category.
Matt Lucas has been named VP of supply chain optimization, where he will drive network design, technology advancement and product flow improvements using data and financial analysis to guide strategic priorities and investment decisions in Dollar General’s supply chain network. Lucas most recently served as VP of distribution center operations. He joined the company in 2013 as an operations manager.

Trent Napier has been promoted to VP of construction, and will lead Dollar General’s construction and store opening efforts. He will oversee all aspects of construction delivery, refrigeration engineering, and project management activities to deliver new and remodeled stores. Napier has been with Dollar General since 2002, joining as a field construction clerk. He most recently served as senior director of field construction.
Finally, Neal Norris has joined Dollar General as VP of financial planning and analysis, leading the company's global financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis teams. In this role, Norris will drive financial strategy, support data-driven decision-making, and ensure alignment with the Dollar General’s long-term goals. Norman joins the retailer after 25 years at UPS.
As of Jan. 30, 2026, Dollar General operated 20,893 Dollar General, DG Market, DGX and Popshelf stores across the United States and Mi Súper Dollar General stores in Mexico.
