Disney warms up for ‘Frozen 2’ across channels
A major omnichannel push for products associated with the upcoming film “Frozen 2” is coming.
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, more than 200 social media influencers from 30 countries will post to social channels using #FrozenFanFest hashtag to launch new products in support of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Available for purchase starting Friday, Oct. 4, the new “Frozen 2” products will include apparel, accessories, footwear, toys, costumes, bedding, home décor, electronics, activities, a digital game, and books and more.
“Frozen 2” actors will also take part in launching products inspired by the film on social media, and consumers can follow along with the #FrozenFanFest hashtag across all social platforms.
In addition, beginning Oct. 4 and throughout the weekend, retailers around the world will participate in Frozen Fan Fest with in-store events, special promotions, and giveaways. Flagship Disney store locations will host midnight openings, and Disney stores will also kick-off “Frozen 2”-themed in-store events and offer a special gift with purchase offers, as well as sweepstakes for a trip to the “Frozen 2” premiere.
Other activities included in Frozen Fan Fest will be special themed photo opportunities at Downtown Disney in Anaheim and themed food and beverage offerings at Disney Springs in Orlando, and promotional playlists and content updates on the Spotify audio streaming service. New products will continue to roll out leading up to and after the theatrical release.
