Dick’s Sporting Goods continues to expand with new formats and new concepts.
The nation’s largest sporting goods retailer will open a second location of its new, experiential store concept, Dick’s House of Sport, on June 4, at West Town Mall in Knoxville, Tenn. In addition, Dick’s will open three Warehouse Sale stores, two newly redesigned Golf Galaxy locations, a relocated Dick’s Sporting Goods store and more in-store soccer shops in June. Following the store openings, Dick’s will have 731 namesake stores in 47 states and 98 Golf Galaxy stores in 35 states.
Similar to the debut House of Sport location in Victor, N.Y., the Knoxville location will offer multi-sport experiences inside and outside the store, an elevated level of customer service and enhanced technology for ease of connection with the brand.
It will feature a 24,000-sq.-ft. outdoor turf field and running track, a rock-climbing wall, a tech-enhanced batting cage and goft hitting bays, a putting green, a "House of Cleats" that will seasonally rotate product, a health and wellness destination, and a service area for breaking in gloves, stringing lacrosse sticks and building/repairing bikes.
The redesigned Golf Galaxy stores will open on June 5, in Salt Lake City and Houston. The stores are designed to offer golfers of all levels an immersive golf experience, with enhanced technologies, state-of-the-art hitting bays, custom fittings, and a wide range of equipment, apparel and footwear from top golf brands.
Dick’s Warehouse Sale stores offer deep discounts on customer-favorite footwear and apparel brands, with hundreds of items 70% off or more. New locations will open on June 16 at Towne Center Prado, Kennesaw, Ga., and at Fenton Commons, Fenton, Mo., and on June 30 at The Commons, Knoxville, Tenn.
