David’s Bridal to reopen all stores by June 1; to offer virtual styling

The nation’s largest bridal retailer is providing online style assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic, with an eye toward reopening its shuttered stores.

As stores that were temporarily closed due to COVID-19 begin to reopen, David’s Bridal is launching virtual stylist and virtual appointment services. Over 300 stylists from across the country will be accessible to customers, from engagement to wedding day and beyond.

Customers can book in-store appointments for upcoming dates at any of David’s Bridal 300-plus store locations, which are starting to reopen every week as of April 27. The entire store fleet will be open for appointments starting June 1, 2020.

Offerings also include on-demand text chats with a stylist to receive advice on topics such as at-home measuring and selecting undergarments for a gown, as well as booking of virtual appointments for personalized, customized shopping. Customers fill out an online style quiz prior to the appointment so the stylist knows their wedding details and preferences.

"It is truly remarkable to work alongside these virtual stylists. They love serving their brides in all the ways which matter most to her,” said Kelly Cook, David's Bridal's chief marketing officer. “After we tested this program, we received some of the highest Net Promoter Scores (NPS) in recent history. We know this is an incredibly emotional purchase, and we're thrilled to continue delivering magical moments – even the virtual ones."

David's Bridal operates more than 300 stores located across the U.S., Canada, U.K., and franchise locations in Mexico.
