David’s Bridal brings wedding planning into the digital age

The nation’s largest bridal retailer is offering a new suite of wedding planning tools.

With the goal of curating and streamlining the process of planning and purchasing for a wedding, David's Bridal is providing digital solutions including a wedding vision tool, which enables couples to create a custom wedding vision board by answering a few questions about their wedding. Their answers populate a customized wedding vision from day-of decor, to attire for the wedding party, and music playlists for the reception. Customers can also download or share the vision board with friends, family, and planners.

Meanwhile, a wedding checklist tool can be customized based on the wedding date and has the ability to set up reminders and alerts around the event. And a customizable wedding website showcases the wedding day and details, as well as enables the creation of a curated registry with the ability to track all gifts, regardless of where the items are sold. All of these tools and more are seamlessly provided via the David's Bridal's website, powered by Blueprint Registry.

"We are relentless in our pursuit of becoming the most relevant, digitally modern, and innovative company to serve today's modern bride,” said Jim Marcum, CEO of David's Bridal. “We continue to strive for a best-in-class experience for every customer, and we want them to know we are there with them every step of the way from the beginning of their planning journey through the end. Putting the customer first is our top priority, and we're really excited to be able to interact with her in a new, innovative, and modern way.”

Other recent digital innovations from David's Bridal include “Zoey,” an artificial intelligence-based mobile concierge bot. The retailer has also introduced free returns and exchanges and a price parity policy.
