An upcoming webinar hosted by Chain Store Age will provide practical insight on how retailers can meet challenges to their brick-and-mortar operations posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The webinar, “Minding the Store: Ensuring Secure Brick-and-Mortar Operations During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond,” will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2 - 2:45 pm ET. It will examine how retailers can leverage the following three technologies to ensure customers follow social distancing, occupancy limits, and other safety and hygiene regulations and recommendations that have come into play during the COVID-19 outbreak:

  • Store navigation (such as beacons and wayfinding apps).
  • Mobile checkout (such as “linebusting,” curbside pickup, BOPIS, BORIS).
  • Traffic monitoring (such as cameras and real-time analytical solutions).

Moderated by Dan Berthiaume, senior technology editor, Chain Store Age, and featuring expert panelists Brian Kilcourse, managing partner, RSR Research LLC and Shelley E. Kohan, CEO/founder of Shelmark Consulting Inc., the webinar will also highlight how these solutions can serve as valuable store operations tools even after the pandemic subsides.

Attendees will receive actionable information on how retailers can utilize these technology solutions and related strategies to overcome challenges posed by COVID-19 to their store operations. The panelists will offer their expert insights on these important matters and time will be saved at the end to answer questions from the audience of retail industry decision-makers, strategic partners, and solution providers.

This webinar should be informative and timely as the retail industry continues operating in the face of unprecedented challenges.
