Cordish tops off a $270 million casino outside of Shreveport
Scheduled to open in early 2025, the casino is projected to generate more than $35 million in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and more than $168 million for the State of Louisiana within its first five years of operation. Cordish estimates it will create some 1,500 new jobs, half of them being permanent positions for local residents along with 750 construction jobs.
“As we get closer to opening this landmark property, our anticipation continues to build, and I couldn’t be happier for my community and more appreciative of Live! for its partnership and positive impact,” Bossier City Mayor Thomas Chandler said at a topping-off ceremony this week.
Dozens of other dozens of other state and local elected officials attended the ceremony, along with regional business, community, and tourism leaders.
Two food-and-beverage brands have signed leases at Louisiana’s new Live! Casino: The Prime Rib-- named a “Top 10 Best Casino Restaurant” in USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards—and Ridotto Grand Café, named after Europe’s first gambling establishment in Venice.
