  • Sears appoints supply chain head

    Hoffman Estates, Ill. -- Sears Holdings announced that Raj Penkar will be joining Sears Holdings on Sept. 15 as senior VP and president, supply chain. He will be accountable for all aspects of the company's supply chain, including logistics, warehousing, inventory management and distribution. 

    Penkar joins Sears Holdings following a successful 24-year career at UPS, where he most recently served as president of UPS' customer solutions division.
     

  • Sears names new supply chain leader

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears Holdings announced that former UPS executive Raj Penkar is joining the company as SVP and president of the company's supply chain.

    In his new role, Penkar will be accountable for all aspects of the company's supply chain, including logistics, warehousing, inventory management and distribution. Prior to joining Sears, Penkar worked at UPS for 24 years and most recently served as president of UPS' customer solutions division.

  • CB Richard Ellis to provide real estate services to UPS

    Los Angeles -- CB Richard Ellis Group said Wednesday that the United States Postal Service (USPS) has awarded CB Richard Ellis a contract to serve as its exclusive provider of strategic corporate real estate solutions nationally.

    CB Richard Ellis will provide transaction management services for USPS, including leasing and disposition. USPS’s portfolio consists of approximately 35,000 facilities, totaling over 300 million sq. ft.

  • South Carolina approves Amazon deal

    New York City -- South Carolina legislators gave final approval Wednesday to a deal bringing Amazon.com and its promise of 2,000 jobs to the state, the Associated Press reported.

    The House voted 90-14 to approve a compromise brokered last week in the Senate, sending the measure to Gov. Nikki Haley's desk.
