  • Ulta to open flagship store in Center City Philadelphia

    Philadelphia -- Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based Fameco Real Estate said that it represented Ulta Beauty in a 13,647-sq.-ft. lease at 1619 Walnut Street, the former Westinghouse studio, developed by Vesper Property Group and located in Center City, Philadelphia.

    The lease marks Ulta’s first retail location in Center City. It will open a three-level store much like its other signature urban store in Chicago.

  • Ulta to open three-level flagship in Philadelphia

    Philadelphia -- Ulta Beauty will open a flagship in Philadelphia on Rittenhouse Row in the Center City district. The store will be the beauty retailer’s first location in Center City.

    “Ulta will open an exciting three level store much like its only other signature urban store in Chicago,” said Steve O’Malley, partner at Fameco Real Estate, who represented the retailer in the transaction.

  • Shopko steps up branding efforts with new marketing hire

    GREEN BAY, Wis. — Shopko has hired a long-time retail marketing executive, with extensive experience in the beauty and apparel sectors, to help develop the Shopko brand as it moves forward with the conversion of its newly acquired Pamida stores to the Shopko Hometown format.

  • Shopko names CMO

    Green Bay, Wis. -- Shopko said Thursday that it has named Nancy Altman as senior VP, chief marketing officer for the general merchandise chain.

    Altman, who was previously VP marketing for Ulta, joins Shopko as it is in the process of converting more than 160 Pamida stores to its new Shopko Hometown format as part of a merger with Pamida that was finalized earlier this year. 
     

  • Ulta Beauty to open at Springfield Mall this fall

    Springfield, Pa. -- Ulta Beauty said it will open at Springfield (Pa.) Mall in fall 2012.

    The 10,328-sq.-ft. store will feature a full-service salon in addition to its customary offerings, and will join anchors Macy’s and Target along with more than 70 specialty retailers at the center.

    Springfield Mall is owned by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) and Simon Property Group.
     

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods to anchor new phase of Alliance Town Center

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co. said Tuesday that Dick’s Sporting Goods will open at Alliance Town Center, located in North Fort Worth.

    The 50,000-sq.-ft. store will anchor a 140,000-sq.-ft. Phase 2 of the center. Construction on Dick’s is scheduled to begin in July with opening set for summer 2013.

    Alliance Town Center, currently 800,000 sq. ft., is a joint venture of Hillwood and Trademark, and is part of the 17,000-acre Alliance, Texas, master-planned community.

  • Phase II of Shoppes at Fox River welcomes new tenants

    Milwaukee -- The Milwaukee office of Opus Development Corp. announced that T.J Maxx, Ulta Salon, Rue 21 and Charming Charlie’s will be the first tenants in the second phase of its Shoppes at Fox River retail development in Waukesha, Wis.

  • Ulta to open at Sandusky Mall

    Sandusky, Ohio -- Youngstown, Ohio-based The Cafaro Co. said Tuesday that cosmetics retailer Ulta will open a store at its Sandusky Mall property, located in Sandusky, Ohio.

    Ulta’s new 11,000-sq.-ft. store is slated to open in the fourth quarter, bringing the Pavilion section of the complex to 100% occupancy.

    The 1+ million-sq.-ft. mall is anchored by Macy’s, Elder-Beerman, Sears, J.C. Penney, Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods, and features more than 90 other specialty shops.
