  • AutoZone expands store footprint via deal with Pep Boys

    Pep Boys plans to lease its retail locations in Puerto Rico to AutoZone.

  • Pep Boys makes acquisition

    Pep Boys is expanding its national service center footprint in the Phoenix area.   The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Icahn Automotive Group, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers. Advance operates 15 service centers in Arizona, with the majority in the Phoenix area. The Advance locations will be transitioned to Pep Boys Service & Tire Centers.  
  • La-Z-Boy names president of retail segment

    Monroe, Mich. -- La-Z-Boy Inc. announced the promotion of Daniel King to president of the company's retail Segment. He has served as VP of La-Z-Boy's retail operations since July of 2011.

    In his new role as President, King will be responsible for all facets of the company-owned La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores, including sales, store operations, training and merchandising functions. The company owns 101 of the 315 stores and, in fiscal 2014 the segment recorded approximately $300 million in sales.
