  • LaSalle acquires Costco center in Houston

    LaSalle Investment Management has acquired Greenway Commons, a Costco-anchored center located in the Inner Loop of Houston.
  • S2 Capital has expansion plans for Richmond-area center

    McLean, Virginia-based S2 Capital Partners has purchased an 8-acre center on the outskirts of Richmond with plans to build it out to its full potential.   The company paid $12 million for the 52,000-sq.-ft. Stonebridge Marketplace, and principal Rob Seidel told Richmond Biz Sense that it plans to add 7,200-sq.-ft. and 8,400-sq.-ft. buildings to fill out the strip that fronts a 123,000-sq.-ft. Kroger Marketplace.   Current tenants include Firestone, Panda Express, Mattress Firm, Qdoba, and AT&T.
  • JLL acquires Scottsdale center

    JLL Income Property Trust has purchased the Kierland Village Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, for $34.5 million. Kierland Village is an upscale development in the Phoenix suburb, which has seen a near 10% rise in population since 2000.   The 118,000-sq.-ft. neighborhood center is anchored by Safeway and houses Walgreens, Einstein Brothers, Pizza Hut, Panda Express, and a UPS Store.   The acquisition is in line with JLL’s current appetite for active, necessity-based centers.  
  • Louisiana shopping center welcomes new tenants

    Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. are announcing several changes to Ambassador Town Center in Lafayette, Louisiana.
     
    Half Shell Oyster House will occupy 5,850-sq.-ft. of restaurant space, and is the newest addition to the eatery line-up. This will mark the ninth location for the seafood restaurant, and the first in Louisiana. Half Shell Oyster House is expected to open in November 2016.
     
    Newly leased, Just 4 Him Men’s Haircut Lounge will occupy 1,267-sq.-ft. and is expected to open in September 2016.

    Lafayette, La. -- Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties celebrated the grand opening of Ambassador Town Center located in Lafayette, Louisiana. The center is currently 97% leased and includes either first-time locations within Lafayette or Louisiana, or both.

  • Phillips Edison Grocery Centers nabs three centers

    Cincinnati -- Phillips Edison Grocery Center announced it has acquired three grocery-anchored shopping centers in Michigan, California, and Massachusetts.

    Crossroads Towne Center is a 102,275-sq.-ft. grocery store-anchored shopping center in Howell, Michigan, a suburb of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The center is anchored by Kroger, and also features national tenants Great Clips, Jets Pizza, Subway, H&R Block, and Little Caesars.  

  • Mixed use project breaks ground in Duluth, Ga.

    Duluth, Ga. - Atlanta-based Fuqua Development, along with The Worthing Companies has broken ground on Sugarloaf Market, a 31-acre, mixed-use project located in Duluth, Georgia. Anchored by the organic grocery store Sprouts Farmers Market, Sugarloaf Market will include 75,000-sq.-ft. of retail and 330 luxury apartments.  

    Fuqua Development is the master developer for the project and is developing the commercial component of the project, while The Worthing Companies is developing the residential component.
