  • CVS names legal expert as strategy VP

    Woonsocket, R.I. - Mary Langowski has been named executive VP for strategy, policy and market development for CVS Health, effective Oct. 14. In this role, Langowski will direct CVS Health's strategy and market development functions, with a focus on identifying and expanding enterprise opportunities to new markets.

    Her portfolio will also include leading the company's government affairs and policy development teams at the state and federal level, providing strategic counsel.

  • CVS appoints EVP for strategy, policy and market development

    CVS Health has named Mary Langowski EVP for strategy, policy and market development, effective Oct. 14.

    Langowski will join CVS Health from international law firm DLA Piper where she serves as the chair of the Health Care Policy and Regulatory Practice and the co-chair of the Food and Beverage Sector.

    CVS Health has completed the purchase of Miami-based Navarro Discount Pharmacy.

    The acquisition includes Navarro's 33 retail locations and Navarro Health Services, a specialty pharmacy serving patients with complex or chronic diseases. The retail pharmacies will retain the Navarro Discount Pharmacy name.

    Woonsocket, R.I. - CVS Health has completed the purchase of Miami-based Navarro Discount Pharmacy, the largest Hispanic-owned drugstore chain in the U.S. The acquisition includes Navarro's 33 retail drugstore locations and Navarro Health Services, a specialty pharmacy serving patients with complex or chronic diseases.

    The retail drugstores will retain the Navarro Discount Pharmacy name.

    Woonsocket, R.I. -- CVS Caremark on Wednesday announced that it is changing its corporate name to CVS Health to reflect its broad healthcare commitment. The company also announced the end of tobacco sales in CVS/pharmacy stores as of Sept. 3, nearly a month ahead of its previously targeted date of Oct. 1.
