  • Vestis Retail, operator of Bob’s Stores, EMS and Sport Chalet, names CFO

    Meriden, Conn. -- Vestis Retail Group, which operates Bob’s Stores, Eastern Mountain Sports and Sport Chalet, has Susan J. “Sue” Riley to CFO.

    Riley brings 30 years of financial management to her new role at Vestis, where she worked on a consulting basis as interim CFO in recent months.

  • Nike to debut first NYC Factory Store location

    New York -- Nike will open its first clearance store location in New York City at The Shops at Sky View Center in Flushing, New York.

    The 15,000-sq.-ft. Nike Factory Store is slated to open April 2 on Level B of the 700,000-sq.-ft. shopping destination.

  • Children’s Place to repurchase shares, affirms guidance

    Secaucus, N.J. – The Children’s Place Inc. has authorized a new $100 million share repurchase, with the goal of returning excess capital to shareholders. During the past five years, Children’s Place has returned more than $487 million to our shareholders through share repurchases and dividends.

  • Kids Rule at Ruum

    Ezra Dabah is no stranger to children’s wear. As the former chairman and CEO of The Children’s Place, he helped create a billion-dollar retail powerhouse. Dabah left the company in 2007, but he returned to the kids fashion business with Ruum American Kid’s Wear, a fashion-forward upmarket concept that bowed in 2012 and operates 24 stores, primarily in malls.

  • Forever 21 to open at The Shops at SkyView Center

    Flushing, New York - The Shops at Sky View Center announced that Forever 21 has signed a lease with plans to open at the Queens shopping destination this coming spring. The store, to be located on Level D across from Nordstrom Rack, will occupy a 10,093 sq. ft.   
  • The Container Store and more opening stores at Westchester’s Ridge Hill

    Yonkers, New York - Forest City Ratner Companies, owner and developer of Westchester’s Ridge Hill in Yonkers, New York, announced that The Container Store will occupy 25,000 sq. ft. on Market Street across from The Whole Foods Market Yonkers.

    The Children's Place has announced the appointment of Anurup Pruthi as senior vice president and chief financial officer effective Dec. 1.

  • Children’s Place names Reliance Industries vet CFO: Q3 net income drops

    Secaucus, N.J. – The Children’s Place Inc. has named Anurup Pruthi as senior VP and CFO, effective Dec. 1, 2014. He will report to Michael Scarpa, COO.
