Chicken Salad Chick continues national expansion

Chicken Salad Chick continues to expand as it prepares to enter its 17th state.

The Southern-inspired, fast-casual chicken salad restaurant brand will open its first-ever location in Indiana, in the Louisville suburb of Jeffersonville. With a grand opening set for June 16, the new restaurant highlights Chicken Salad Chick's accelerating development efforts across the Midwestern region, including Ohio, Illinois, Missouri and Indiana.

"The pandemic delayed grand opening plans for many of our restaurants, as it did for all other restaurants, and we're thrilled to finally see them opening their doors," said Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick. “Following the opening in Jeffersonville, we expect to further expand our presence in the region with additional locations in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky in the coming year

In addition, the restaurant chain is expanding in Virginia, which it entered last fall, with a location in Mechanicsville. It will be the eatery’s second location in the state.

Chicken Salad Chick, a 2020 recipient of Chain Store Age’s Breakout Retailers Awards, is closely following state guidelines as it reopens locations and opens new ones. Restaurants will feature limited capacity with social distancing measures in place.

Additionally, all employees will be wearing masks and gloves, as well as practicing proper handwashing and food safety protocol. For guests who prefer to take their order to-go, the Jeffersonville restaurant has a drive-thru and also features outdoor seating.

Chicken Salad Chick has more than 155 restaurants in 17 states and is continuing its rapid expansion with both franchise and company locations.
