Casey’s General Stores creates new exec tech position

Casey’s General Stores has appointed a former Target exec to its leadership team.

The convenience store chain appointed Adrian Butler to the newly created role of chief information officer, responsible for leading all information technology strategy, innovation, modernization, and delivery. Butler joins Casey’s from Dine Brands Global, parent company of IHOP, where he has served as senior VP, IT, and CIO since 2015.

Prior to Dine Brands, he spent four years at Target Corp., including serving as VP, business solutions security, from 2014-2915.

“Adrian is a proven leader and technologist with deep experience across the restaurant and retail industries that will take our technology strategy to the next level,” said Darren Rebelez, CEO, Casey’s General Stores. “We have a strong leadership team in place at Casey’s and I know that Adrian will contribute to delivering on our purpose and advancing our strategic plan.”

Casey’s operates more than 2,200 stores in 16 states.
