Carvana accelerates growth in Texas, Louisiana

An omnichannel platform for buying and selling used cars is entering one new market in Texas and two new markets in Louisiana.

Carvana is now offering as-soon-as-next-day touchless home delivery in Texarkana, Texas; as well as in Monroe and Shreveport, Louisiana. With these rollouts, the retailer is now operating in 16 metro regions in Texas and nine metro regions in Louisiana.

Customers can shop more than 20,000 vehicles via the Carvana website or mobile app in as little as five minutes, with the ability to finance, purchase, trade in, and schedule as-soon-as-next-day delivery of a vehicle.

All vehicles come with a seven-day return policy. Carvana photographs the vehicles in its national inventory in 360 degrees to provide a high-definition virtual tour. In addition, Carvana offers a two-minute real online offer for customers who want to sell their car to the retailer.

Vehicle owners can enter their car’s license plate, VIN number, and state online, and receive an official offer that is guaranteed for seven days or 1,000 additional miles.  If an offer is accepted, Carvana will pick the car up as soon as the next day and pay by check on the spot, after inspecting the vehicle. Customers can also enter a vehicle’s year, make, model, and trim to receive an online estimate.

“With every new market, we’ve discovered that customers have embraced the ease and convenience we offer,” said Ernie Garcia, founder and CEO of Carvana.

Based in Phoenix, Carvana now offers as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery to customers in 291 cities across the U.S. The company also operates “car vending machines,” which serve as automated fulfillment centers for online vehicle purchases, in 28 U.S. markets.
