Capriotti's and Wing Zone have opened in Las Vegas.
Capriotti's Sandwich Shop and Wing Zone are expanding their footprint at home and abroad.
The fast-casual brands have opened their first-ever storefronts on the Las Vegas Strip, in the NYNY Casino. The openings are the result of a franchise agreement struck between the two restaurant chains and the Vegas-based Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group, which has a portfolio of 16 full-service and fast-casual food concepts throughout the city.
Capriotti’s acquired Wing Zone in early 2021. Both brands have big expansion plans. With some 167 locations across the United States, Capriotti’s plans to grow to more than 500 sites by 2025. Wing Zone has more than 31 locations in North America and 30 restaurants internationally, with plans to grow to 250 locations by the end of 2025.
The two brands closed out 2022 by signing nine area development agreements in the fourth quarter, translating to a total of 92 new locations. The agreements will expand both brands into new territories in the U.S. and abroad.
Capriotti's and Wing Zone development agreements in 2022 include the signing of a 50-unit master franchise agreement with Village Food Courts (VFC) to expand both brands in the Republic of India and the signing of a 30-unit franchise agreement with Viva Group to bring Wing Zone to the Philippines.
In addition, Wing Zone opened its first robotic outfitted ghost kitchen in Pasadena, Calif., and also its first brick-and-mortar location in California.
"I have been nothing short of impressed and proud of the rapid growth rate we were able to see across both brands throughout this past year," said David Bloom, chief development and operating officer for Capriotti's and Wing Zone. "Our team's dedication to bringing these quality sandwich and wing concepts to new territories across the world is what has allowed us to expand both our national and international footprints with a total of 235 new shops between both Capriotti's and Wing Zone in 2022, with big plans for further expansion in 2023."
