A Vancouver-based maker of what it calls “the world’s most comfortable pants” is adding a second U.S. outpost.

Duer is set to open store location in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, in September. The 1,850-sq.-ft. space will combine experiential and sensory elements such as plants, trees and wood chips to reflect  the natural and sustainable materials  that make up 95% of Duer's garments.

Launched in 2014, Duer opened its store in 2016, in Vancouver, which was followed by three additional Canadian locations. In 2020, the company opened its first U.S. storefront in Denver. Similar to the brand's Canadian stores, the Denver store offers shoppers a chance to test the athletic wear on a stationary bike, monkey bars and swings.

In addition to its direct-to-consumer business, Duer has a wholesale presence in 27 countries in North America and Europe. Its U.S. retail partners range from Nordstrom to REI.

“Opening a dedicated storefront in Los Angeles has always been the plan, it was just a matter of when," said Gary Lenett, co-founder, Duer.  "For a few reasons, the most significant being our e-commerce and wholesale businesses showcasing a built-in fan base and demand in the LA area, our greatest opportunity for growth in this region is now."
