Re-Up, which bills itself as the c-store of the future, is partnering to deploy autonomous kitchens as it plots ambitious store growth.
The start-up gas station and convenience store operator plans to install autonomous robotic chef technology from Nala Robotics at a variety of locations going forward. Re-Up is deploying Nala’s “The Wingman,” a fully autonomous fry station that can be added or configured to any restaurant or commercial food service operation.
Re-Up will leverage the advanced artificial intelligence technology to enhance its food service offerings, enabling customers to enjoy freshly prepared, fully customizable fried chicken, french fries and other menu items on demand quickly and easily — and without human intervention.
To date, Re-Up recently has nine locations, with the majority in Florida. (List of locations at end of article.) opened its first location, which is close to Melbourne Orlando International Airport in Melbourne, Fla.
“Our expansion efforts at Re-Up are proceeding at an accelerated pace,” said Narendra Manney, co-founder and president of Re-Up. “We aim to procure 25-30 additional stores by the end of 2024 and more than 200 stores in the coming years. Re-Up said it prioritizes exceptional customer service, on trend merchandising amd and modern store layouts to ensure seamless and enjoyable experience for every patron. It offers nutritional food options, free WiFi and cafe seating. The integration of The Wingman into Re-Up's convenience stores will enable faster service, reduced wait times, and enhanced food quality, improving the overall customer experience, according to a statement by the Nala Robotics.
