  • Golfsmith expansion continues with new store in Ohio

    Dayton, Ohio -- Golfsmith International, is opening a store Beavercreek, Ohio, with an grand opening celebration on May 10-May 12.

    The new 20,845-sq.-ft. store features a dominant selection of the best brands in golf and the ultimate 'try before you buy' interactive environment. The store has three high-tech golf simulators and an expansive indoor putting green that enable customers to experience the latest equipment.

  • Rite Aid celebrates conversion of Buffalo stores to its Wellness format

    Buffalo, N.Y. -- Buffalo, the second largest city in New York, has become the first market in which a majority of Rite Aid's stores have been converted to the Wellness format, the retail pharmacy chain announced Wednesday.

  • Ikea goes live with 38th completed U.S. solar project

    New York -- Ikea has officially plugged-in the solar energy system installed at its store in Stoughton, Mass. The 118,000-sq.-ft. array consists of a 590.8-kW (DC) system, built with 4,220 laminated panels. It will produce approximately 695,000 kWh of clean electricity annually, the equivalent of reducing 479 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2), eliminating the emissions of 94 cars or powering 60 homes yearly (calculating clean energy equivalents).

    Last year's numbers were such that we couldn't limit our annual Fastest-Growing third-party managers listing to a top five; a sixth was added because the contract totals were that close.

    John Bucksbaum discusses post-recession realities

    Bucksbaum Retail Properties opened for business in April 2012. The Chicago-based company has already opened one project and is working on four more.

    The 53,000-sq.-ft. Kingsbury Center near North Chicago has opened with four tenants: Buy Buy Baby, PetSmart, Road Runner Sports and Jimmy Johns. It is a joint venture with Chicago-based Structured Development.
