  • White House | Black Market outlet to open at Legends Outlets Kansas City

    Kansas City, Kan. – OTB Destination announced that the area’s first White House | Black Market Outlet boutique will open at Legends Outlets Kansas City in May 2012.

    The women’s retailer will offer a collection designed specifically for the outlet boutique, while offering a select assortment of product from their full-price boutiques as well. The White House Black Market Outlet boutique will occupy an overall square footage of 2,955 next to Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th.

  • Jones Lang LaSalle appoints retail leasing specialist

    San Francisco -- Jones Lang LaSalle announced that John Stevens joined the firm’s San Francisco office as VP leasing specialist. A 25-year veteran of commercial real estate, Stevens will focus on leasing space in the firm’s 12 million-sq.-ft., third-party retail portfolio on the West Coast.

  • Levin named leasing and management agent for Moorestown Shopping Center

    Moorestown, N.J. -- North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management Corp. said it has been appointed property manager and exclusive leasing agent for Moorestown Shopping Center, a 48,920-sq.-ft. retail venue in Moorestown, N.J.

    The center is tenanted by health club Retro Fitness, along with Dunkin’ Donuts, Family Dollar and a number of local businesses, including a dry cleaner, a martial arts studio and a tanning and beauty salon.

  • Central Market to open at Preston Oaks center

    Dallas -- Fort Worth, Texas-based Trademark Property Co. announced the opening of Central Market’s first small prototype store at its Preston Oaks center. Located in the Preston Hollow neighborhood in Dallas, the 30,000 sq.-ft. store is the ninth location -- the fifth in Dallas-Fort Worth -- for the specialty grocer.

    The agreement with H-E-B Central Market was originally announced by Trademark in May 2011 following strong interest from several potential tenants looking to move into the former Borders bookstore location.

  • CSA columnist talks real estate in Kansas City

    Kansas City, Mo. -- Chain Store Age real estate columnist Jeff Green, featured regularly on Chainstoreage.com’s community page with his “Retail Rap with Jeff Green” commentary, was interviewed by the Kansas City Star about trends in retail real estate.

  • The Art of Shaving opens at Cherry Hill Mall

    Cherry Hill, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that The Art of Shaving has opened at its Cherry Hill Mall, located in Cherry Hill, N.J.

    The 357-sq.-ft. kiosk is located by the Grand Court.
     

  • Cole Real Estate executes 640,000 sq. ft. in retail leases last year

    Phoenix -- Cole Real Estate Investments announced that it signed leases totaling nearly 640,000 sq. ft. at Cole-related retail properties during 2011.

    Cole secured approximately 308,000 sq. ft. of new leases, along with 330,000 sq. ft. of renewals, bringing the occupancy rate for its portfolio of properties to 97.8%.

  • Kitchen Collection to open at Gurnee Mills

    Gurnee, Ill. -- Indianapolis-based The Mills/Simon announced that Kitchen Collection will open at Gurnee Mills, the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in Illinois.

    Kitchen Collection will open on March 16 and be located near Burlington Coat Factory, Rink Side Sports and Shoppers World.
