  • Under Armour opens specialty store in New York

    Baltimore - Under Armour opens its newest specialty retail location in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City on April 24. The SoHo Brand House is Under Armour's largest retail store to date and is the first store to feature Under Armour's Rowhouse Basement shop, where staff will provide private consultations to athletes, celebrities and VIP clientele in an intimate setting.

  • Tractor Supply Co. posts strong Q1; on track to open 100+ stores this year

    Brentwood, Tenn. -- Tractor Supply Co. reported an 11% rise in profit for the quarter ended March 29, to $48.8 million from $44 million last year.

    Revenue rose 9% to $1.18 billion, and same-store sales increased 2.2% versus a 0.5% increase in the prior year period.

    For the full year, the company said it expects capital expenditures to range between $240 million and $250 million, including spending to support 102 to 106 new store openings and construction of the new Store Support Center to open in 2014.

     

  • Nordstrom Rack plans 2015 store opening in Albuquerque

    Seattle – Nordstrom Inc. plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Winrock Town Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The approximately 33,500-sq.-ft. store is scheduled to open in fall 2015.

    The new Nordstrom Rack will be the company's first retail location in New Mexico.

  • Paul Morelli to open jewelry store on Madison Avenue

    New YorkFaith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive VP of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group are bringing Philadelphia-based, international Society jeweler, Paul Morelli, to 895 Madison Avenue, at the intersection of 72nd Street.

    The jeweler has been a presence at Bergdorf Goodman since 1981. The multi-level first New York store will offer 40 feet of double frontage and face two Ralph Lauren mansions.

     

  • Starbucks files permits for La Boulange store in Los Angeles

    Seattle – Starbucks Corp. has filed building permits to open a La Boulange bakery location in Los Angeles. The permits do not specify a time when Starbucks plans to open the new store.

    Starbucks purchased the La Boulange chain in 2012 and currently sells La Boulange-branded baked goods in U.S. Starbucks outlets. However, while there are 22 La Boulange stores in San Francisco, this would be the first location outside that market. Starbucks has previously said it wants to expand La Boulange nationally.

     

  • Yogurtland inks deal with Mansfield, Texas, center

    Irving, Texas — Yogurtland has signed a lease for 1,242 sq. ft. at Mansfield Crossing in Mansfield, Texas.

    WindStar Properties represented the landlord, Mansfield Matlock Partners, in the transaction.  Transwestern Retail represented Yogurtland.

     

  • CBRE promotes Horne to president, Los Angeles region

    Los Angeles — CBRE Group has promoted Lewis Horne to president, greater Los Angeles-Orange County region. Horne has led the CBRE region since 2007. His elevation to the President title reflects outstanding performance across a broad range of leadership attributes, including new business development, business and sales management, market and industry leadership, client relationships and people management, said CBRE in a prepared statement.

  • Hurricane Grill & Wings to add 22 units in 2014-2015

    West Palm Beach, Fla. -- Wing chain Hurricane Grill & Wings has signed five multi-unit development agreements, representing 22 new locations slated to open in 2014-2015.

    The Florida-based franchised brand opened two locations in early 2014, with plans for a total of 14 new units by the end of this year.
